If business has been slow lately, there are things you can do to increase sales that won't require a lot of cash if any at all. We've invited a few marketing professionals to share with you some tips and advice on how to promote your business without breaking the bank.

Liz Lynch, author of the forthcoming book “Smart Networking: Attract a Following In Person and Online” (McGraw-Hill, 2009) and founder of the Center for Networking Excellence, is passionate about helping business professionals network smart by teaching them to strive for 24/7 results without 24/7 effort. Her bottom-line approach grew from her experience in corporate America working at some of the top firms in their industries -- Goldman Sachs, Disney, Booz Allen & Hamilton, and Time Warner -- to hone her strategic, analytical and financial expertise at. She also holds an engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University. Gil Effron, president of Strategies for Growth, is a business coach, consultant, marketing strategist, and writer. In addition to providing high-level marketing strategy and creative leadership, his Virtual Marketing Assistants step in to help owners of smaller businesses and solo practitioners follow-up quickly and professionally to inquiries and maintain ongoing contacts with prospects and clients. Gil also serves as a senior marketing advisor for the Daley Institute in New York –– a St. Louis-based business advisory firm devoted to helping growing businesses. Ramon Gil, aside from organizing the Asian-American Entrepreneurs Network (and this event), Ramon is also the owner and creative director of Fresh Concentrate, a marketing and graphic design firm specializing in reaching multicultural audiences and a big proponent of "content marketing." Prior to launching Fresh Concentrate, Ramon was creative director at the Earth Pledge Foundation, a non-profit organization on the cutting edge of environmental technology. Sarah Chung (Moderator) is the founder and CEO of Periscope Solutions, a provider of advisory services for small businesses in the areas of strategy, marketing and operations. Incorporated in 2001, Periscope has worked with entrepreneurs and small medium organizations to define areas for growth and provide strategic and execution support to further key initiatives such as business planning, fundraising, product development, marketing, sales and business development.
